One big one coming up.

I have wanted to do the 50 miler out of Bear Creek for a while. I was not sure where to get info on it. Thanks to Bruce Dickman for the map. We had a good ride last Sunday out at Blanket's and I surmised that Bruce is the man for Mtn Bike trail and the goings on in the area. I think eventually he will getting around to meeting everyone who's on a bike.
This route is called the Firewater course. I've never heard the name but I know the ride. I have done all these but not in one ride. Should be interesting. Oh that damn Tibbs road. Killer. Nothing but a killer.
I thought I would wait for cooler weather but I need the day light so maybe not. I also need a few spare parts to carry with me. I might end up doing this one by myself.

Doing the course the via the original route looks like more fun. You get to do the Mountaintown descent and then finish with the Windy Gap descent. You have always said thats a wacky one. Starting nice and early would make this very do-able.

Grab the GPS waypoints when you do it, I get lost there everytime.

I'll definitely track it with my GPS. I think we'll do it when it cools off a bit. That's the weather and work. Mark will probably be joining.
